Education, as a specific social behavior, is very significant in selecting talents, promoting social mobility, and ensuring social justice. Since the beginning of humanhistory, school has become the major theme of children’s socialization outside home. Byofficial school education, students are taught the skills and attitudes to what they need inthis society and cultural tradition. However, under the background of unfairdistributions of educational resources in today’s society, the differences in educationlevel between urban and rural areas, between developed areas and undeveloped areas, have caused a series of problems which attract more and more attentions. Among theproblems, the one that the undeveloped areas (e.g. the frontier regions) have a loweducation identity gradually steps into the public view. The youth begin to look at the world and think with new ways in adolescence.During this period, their outlook on the world, life, and values gradually take shape. Thesociety will give them more roles than the social roles of children or students in theirchildhood. The new roles have to gently combine with the original roles to generate anew role set to promote strong self-identity. The roles they learnt from school are moresociety-oriented than what they learnt from home. They are told what the societyexpects from them as students, and what the society expects from them as citizens. Inaddition, the youth begin to accept more systematic evaluations compared with others toform peer groups. This "group psychology" will affect the education identity of theyouth on a large extent. However, the youth of frontier regions have to face theeducation problem of minority nationalities, that is the students of minority nationalitieswith low family income or low family education levels lack the language environments, values, and skills of the students of Han.
