English language teaching in China raised higher and higher requirements, especiallyin fundamental education of the junior middle school English teaching. Although teachersare guided by the concepts of the new curriculums, the teaching results can not satisfy theexpectations of teachers and students. And according to the real situation of junior middleschool students, the author adjusts the use of Situational Method in junior middle school tothe overall design of the teaching objectives, setting up a series of situations to completethe teaching task. Aimed at improving the junior middle students’ interests in earningEnglish and the quality of teaching so that students are able to gain successful experiencesconstantly, hereby enhancing students’ earning self-confidence and the effectiveness ofEnglish class.This study based on the new Oxford English textbook, and observations in class ofschool teachers and for a term. Studies have shown that the new target with the situationalpedagogy of teaching English can be well integrated applications to improve students’proficiency in English. At the same time, the design of specific teaching situations helps toimprove the boring English learning to enhance students’ interests in learning. In short, theSituation Approach to some extent solves the problems on the teaching junior middleschool English classroom teaching and learning, improves the efficiency of classroomteaching and learning.The full text altogether includes three chapters. First chapter is introduction, whichmainly states the meaning of study, background significance, literature review summarizesthe Chinese and foreign educators, and the current domestic research status about thecreation of scenarios in the teaching of English. The second chapter of the investigationand study undertake the student questionnaire and interview to first-line teachers andclasses such as observation, mastering the teaching class situation firsthand material. Theinvestigation is to find out the problems. According to the study of problems, analyze thereasons. The third chapter is to think of some methods that can be improved. No doubt, there will be a lot of difficulties in applying the ways and methods talkedabout in the thesis. There are always too many students in one class and students lack theenvironment to use English out of class. In addition, the teachers’ language ability is alsonot quite satisfactory. All those factors have impacts on designing and applying anappropriate language situation. As a result, the research still remains to be further studiedand improved.
