In the new round curriculum reform, our country has gradually formed the nationalcurriculum, local curriculum and school-based curriculum, which can be called the schoolcurriculum system. School-based curriculum developing is a kind of mode of curriculumdeveloping, which is corresponding to the national curriculum development. This isChina’s current basic education curriculum reform is a hot spot. It plays a considerablerole to promote the development of the student individuality, teachers’ professionaldevelopment and school characteristics, which has become an important content ofcurriculum development. This text uses the method of documents and materials, questionnaire investigation, case analysis, mathematical statistics and other research methods, on the basis of the theoryof combing sports school-based curriculum development research, taking Wuxi HubinMiddle School for instance, to develop the study of school-based curriculum of physicaleducation and achieve a certain effect, paying attention to combining the reality of highschool of arts. The main conclusion are as follows.Firstly, sports school-based curriculum development is to put the students’ interests atthe first place to satisfy the students’ individual differences, which helps the teacher teachthe students a certain sports skills systematically. This can not only help students grasp themovement skills and improve the sport performance, but also laid a solid foundation forthe students’ life-long physical training idea.Secondly, sports school-based curriculum development, according to thecharacteristics of the high school of fine arts students and the specific conditions of schoolphysical education, the development of adjust measures to local conditions, reflect thecharacteristics of schools, formed in adjusting and perfecting school sports characteristics.Thirdly, sports school-based curriculum development helps students to the generalimprovement of sports performance and quality. Take Grade Three students of Hubin Middle School for example. The physical quality test results show that students havesignificantly improved in several projects such as50meters, standing long jump, forwardcast solid balls,1000meters (male)/800meters (female), compared with previous years.In2013Wuxi Grade three student physical quality test, the boy ranked the eighth and girlsranked the eleventh.Forth, sports school-based curriculum in Hubin Middle school is based on track andfield and big balls. But there are no such newly-developing projects as roller skating, climbing, flying saucer and tennis. Moreover, there are also less sports projects with localcharacteristics and national features. This phenomenon not only because teachers’professional is not comprehensive and the space and equipment are lack, which reflects theshortage of sports curriculum reform conditions in the art characteristics of high school, but also shows that there is a certain gap in terms of physical education curriculum reformideas in the art characteristics of high school.
