In 2003,the ministry of education enacted The history curriculum standard of ordinary high school (on a trial basis). Then it was implemented by four provinces include Guangdong. The standard points out that teaching should change traditional imparting methods.Students are the main body of the class. Pay attention to develop students’capacity of solving problem and practice. Under the background of curriculum reform, the researchers in university and teachers in high school are exploring new teaching methods. Question-based teaching is attracting more attention. History is scheduling, concreteness, scientific and thoughtful, so it is more suitable for question-based teaching. But so many articles about it only mentioned its theory, without practice. Only when theory is used to guide practice, can it work. So my article attaches great importance to practice. I hope I can found the problems during the practice of question-based teaching and analysis the cause. Then I can put forward some suggestions useful.This article is researched for the example of Desheng School in Shunde, Guangdong. Guangdong is one of the four experimental area of curriculum reform, and Shunde is developed. Desheng is a private school of high quality with good students. So question-based teaching which is advocated by teachers is very suitable for Desheng.The paper contains the following sections:First, the introduction, elaborated the dissertation’s research reason, meaning, the present status of the research at home and abroad, put forward the research plan, and my point of view on the basis of previous studies.Second, the investigation and study. I investigated the the application status quo of question-based teaching in high school history of Desheng School through the questionnaire and interview.Third, on the basis of investigation, summary the application status quo of the question teaching method in history class of Desheng School. Then analysis the problems and the cause.Forth, give some suggestions of properly applying question-based teaching in history class in order to make me work smoothly in the school in the future.
