With the development of the society, the way that people obtain knowledge has already changed greatly, the way that transform knowledge to students has already not fit the development of the society, our country also hope that we can find new ways to get knowledge, autonomy learning occurred and has its advantages, PE autonomy learning is an important part of the autonomy learning, so finding the questions that existing in the PE autonomy learning and come to the methods to solve is significant.This thesis makes an investigation of the ability of PE autonomy learning of the students in Hubei province. using the method of literature, interviewing, questionnaire and statistics and so on, Based on the investigation and analysis, We can get the inclusions:Now, the whole of the ability of PE autonomy learning is at the normal level;Boys have higher levels of PE autonomy learning and the dimensions of PE autonomy learning than the girls;There are differences between on the ability of PE autonomy learning, it shows that the students from rural areas have higher ability of PE autonomy learning than that of the students from urban areas.there are no differences on the dimensions of study motivation and study overcome in the normal university, and have great differences on the dimensions of study process and study environment;The students of science don’t have great difference than the students of others subjects on the dimensions of study process and study environment in the normal university, but have great differences than the students of other subjects on the dimensions of study motivation and study overcome;The level of the ability of PE autonomy learning of the students in Hubei province have the different tendency with the increase of the grade.it shows that the level of the ability of PE autonomy learning of the students increase firstly and fall lately.
