With the national emphasis on vocational education and higher vocational education examination recruitment enrollment system, the scale of higher vocational college students expands unceasingly; with the admission ways and types of source of diversification, especially the characteristics of the local vocational college students are more prominent.In this paper, taking a local public vocational colleges-Jiyuan vocational and technical college as an example, the types of source students include the job students, society, secondary vocational school students, high school students, junior high school students in various levels of learning, and the students of structure is more complicate.At the same time, in the higher vocational college, vigorously implement work-integrated learning personnel training mode and the hierarchical teaching model reform in stages, the traditional student management mode has been difficult to adapt to the development of students’needs and the needs of the teaching work.And student management work as an important part of school education teaching, the effectiveness of management’s concerns college students’ideological and political education success, the security and stability of the higher vocational colleges, and cultivates talented people of high quality technical skills required to social. Emphasis and strengthen the management of vocational college students, to explore an effective, accord with the actual management mode of the local higher vocational college students, has certain theoretical and practical significance.This paper using the survey, comparative analysis, interviews, surveys, literature inductive and deductive research approaches to all types of Jiyuan Vocational and Technical College-level students for the study to investigate. The findings indicate that there are many problems in the current local vocational college students management work, such as student management philosophy is behind the model of a single student management, student management system is incomplete, and the student is not high quality management, student management and vocational training objectives content disjointed and other issues.On the premise of scientific analysis of the status quo, the author in pedagogy, psychology and management theory as the instruction, the local higher vocational colleges and universities student management reform has carried on the bold exploration, putting forward the hierarchical management mode reform, according to the types, the students can be divided into the five-year higher vocational students, the common higher vocational students, university-enterprise cooperation in social life, Undergraduate students intended, hierarchical management in four levels. In the process of adhering to the principle of subjectivity, difference, service, professional, establish school, department, counselor, the student cadre four integrated hierarchical management system and gradually form is given priority to with the counselor, full-time teacher, professional instructors, enterprise part-time teacher in charge, the student cadre is complementary "one main four auxiliary" management mode, so as to realize integration of hierarchical management under a variety of management methods, make higher vocational college students management work further towards the scientific and humanization, eventually forming students self education, self management, self service good situation.The innovation divides three aspects, one is based on the characteristics of diverse types of students, presenting category hierarchical management model, and each type has a complete management system; the second part improves the management system of two departments, the establishment of hierarchical student management system and faculty, counselors, one of the four student leaders; the third part reforms the single counselor management mode, teacher, professional instructors, business part-time teacher, student leaders as co-managers, and promote full educating people, all-round education, the rapid formation of the whole process of educating people mechanism.
