| Students’ autonomous learning has become one direction of the change in mode of learning under the background of new curriculum reform. So, how to cultivate the students’ autonomous learning effectively and inprove the level of students’s autonomous learning in the classroom needs our continuing thinking and exploration. Based on the study towards "mind map" and "autonomous learning"at home and abroad, regarding some students’ English learning in Heng Yang city as the research object, this thesis tries to discuss the application and effect of English teaching with the aid of mind map.This thesis can be divided into five parts.In the first part of this thesis, the author proposes the relevant research background; and also stresses the importance of this research from three aspects:optimization of learning styles, promotion of meaningful learning and promotion of construting knowledge systems. Besides this part also introduces the research methods:Bibliography Research Method, Investigation Research Method and Education Experiment Method.The second part is research outline which defines the core concept, such as autonomous learning, autonomous learning level and mind map. Discusses the conditions of achieving autonomous learning, drawing methods and application fields of mind map in details. Then the author conducts a literature review, in order to analyze the present research situation on this topic. Then the author demonstrates the feasibility and necessity of this study from different aspects.The third part mainly focuses on the analysis of the "the combination of mind map with the process of students’ learning and teachers’ teaching". At first the author describes the mind map’s application modes in students’ autonomous learning in Junior English; then author extracts a teaching case from the study, showing how the teacher’s teaching process combines with the mind map in detail.The forth part introduces the basic information of the experiment, including description of experiment design and experiment implementation.The experiment design is composed of research purpose, research content, research objects, research methods, research assumption and research data collecting. Experiment implementation includes stages of preparation and execution.The fifth part discusses the result of the experiment. Firstly, the author analyzes the data which collected through questionnaires, test scores, interviews and object gathering, then draws three conclusions from the data analysis:teaching with the aid of mind map will giv students effective support of learning strategies for English learning; teaching with the aid of mind map enables students to improve the quality of students’ learning, and using mind map in teaching can effectively improve students’autonomous learning levels. Finally the author puts forward some issues that we should pay attention to during the calssroom teaching.In short, the thesis regards English clasroom teaching as a carrier to improve students’ English autonomous learning level, tries to provide a effective teaching ideas with aid of mind map for the English teacher in Junior High School. |
