After years of development, higher vocational education has become an important part of national education system. At present, the performance management system of teachers in higher vocational colleges have been established, and obtained some outstanding achievements, but from the point of actual work to carry out the management of higher vocational teachers’ performance also has some shortcomings, such as performance management goal is not clear, the idea is not correct of implementing performance management measures, does not reach the designated position, etc., seriously affected the work enthusiasm of the staff. Level and overall quality of teachers is directly related to higher vocational education level and quality of personnel training, strengthening the construction of teaching staff can take various measures and methods: such as business training, talent exchange,incentive mechanism and so on. Higher vocational teachers’ performance management level directly affects the teachers’ work enthusiasm, it is not only a kind of management method, and also is the important way of improving the quality of higher vocational education. To ensure the quality of talent cultivation in higher vocational colleges, must fully arouse the enthusiasm of the teachers’ work, and this depends on a set of scientific and perfect performance management system support, so urgent to improve and perfect the higher vocational teachers’ performance management system as soon as possible.By empirical research method, for mechanical and electrical vocational and technical college of Inner Mongolia teacher performance management were analyzed, and find out the problems, and puts forward some effective improvement measures and countermeasures: establishing a correct concept of performance management, combining with the characteristics of highervocational colleges to develop evaluation method and system, improved the inspection work; Clear assessment objectives and priorities, completes the inspection information feedback and analysis work, attaches great importance to the application of assessment results. In addition, in the process of carrying out performance management work in higher vocational colleges, to strengthen the communication performance, a variety of work methods and measures to eliminate obstacle factors influencing performance work,improve reasonable and scientific teacher performance appraisal.
