What kind of era is the 21 st century? To give a precise definition of it is a very difficult thing. The 21 st century is a knowledge economy era, is a learning time, which closely linked with the quality education. Improved the overall quality of young students is the comprehensive training of cognition, emotion and volition,so that mental health education is one of the important aspects. But the corresponding high school students’ life, "a quiz by one day, a test by three days, an exam by seven days” losing innocence and aura, exposing the growing psychological problems or mental illness. Although since 2002 promulgated The Outline of Primary and Secondary Mental Health Education Guidance, many primary and secondary school systematically to carry out mental health education activities, and achieved certain results. However, due to the uneven allocation of educational resources is unbalance, there is a serious shortage of mental health education in rural areas’ high school.Let high school mental health education in rural areas continue to only have virtual tables?Based on the results of previous research, mental health education should be integrated with the curriculum in order to compensate for the lack of mental health education in high school of the rural areas. In particular, the historical discipline has the rich humanities, which contains the majestic historical system, dialectical thinking of history, the vast knowledge of history and rich history emotion. Using the integration of the history teaching and mental health education, students can learn correct social cognition, interpersonal communication skills, cooperation ability、willpower and endurance of setbacks and good personal traits and so on.This paper, which is mainly based on the experimental results of the questionnaire, explores common mental health problems on high school students, in order to determine the target of students’ mental health education. The author’s own teaching practice as the basis, combined with the actual teaching case, the paper explores the integration of mental health education and history teaching.This paper is divided into an introduction and four parts: Introduction, which mainly introduces the research background and its theoretical and practical significance, definition of the core topics, and expounds the basic research methods; The first part,which based on a questionnaire survey, explores the basic present situation of the psychological problems of high school students, put forward the target of the teaching of history combining with the mental health education; The second part, which analyzes the integration of the teaching of history in high school and mental health education, explores the necessity and feasibility of the integration, and the way of the integration; The third part, which describes the specific case in the integration of high school history teaching and mental health education; The fourth part, which explores issues and suggestions on the implementation aspects of the integration of high school history teaching and mental health education, expounds the three aspects : the matching of the historical material and mental health education, the concept of teachers and the level of school management and construction, and tries to propose solutions.
