With the development of Chinese economy, the Chinese learning become stream of the world, the international Chinese teaching is booming as well. More and more people want to learn Chinese. Under this new situation, how to carry on Chinese teaching for foreign students turns to be a problem which should be considered by Chinese language teachers for foreigners. Since teaching Chinese as a foreign language and domestic Chinese teaching have the same content of courses, there must be some similarities between them.In the Kingdom of Cambodia, the Khmer-Chinese Association collaborates with the teaching material board on compiling a junior high school textbook Chinese which modeled Chinese junior high school Chinese textbook and fully uses the selection and arrangement of content in it for reference. But it ignores the differences of actual Chinese language standard between the Chinese students and Cambodian students, besides, it misunderstand the orientation of Cambodian Chinese education. So this book lead to problem in the actual application that it’s hard to study and teach for students and teachers, respectively.This article intends to compare these two textbooks through the aspects of text、style and exercise to summarize the specific contents 、modes that Chinese use for reference and the adjustment which Chinese makes based on the Cambodian actual situation. Then, the theory of teaching Chinese as first language and teaching Chinese as second language is analyzed to find out which parts of textbook are reasonable, which parts violate the education objective laws of Cambodian Chinese education, and the advantages and disadvantages of these references and adjustments. The author expects to offer some advises for the editing of the textbook by comparing the teaching materials of Chinese book for students of Cambodia and Chinese book for students of China. Besides, the author also hopes that this article could enlighten the teachers who apply this textbook.
