| Abstract MBA (Master of Business Administration) education as represented by top Business Schools in USA has developed over 100 years so far. While that of in China has developed only two decades till now, but it’s dramatically rise over the past few years, MBA tuition fee goes up along with violent growth momentum. MBA tuition price for the Universities in Guangdong Province increases every 2 or 3 years. For the individual University aspect, how to fix a price for its MBA project? How to revise its price to meet social and the MBA student’s needs in accordance with the change in time and space? How to adjust price and respond to the adjust price from the competitor? At the same time, MBA education is an investment for MBA student, ROI (return of investment) for MBA student is significant for the long-term operation and management of the individual University. Therefore, we’d like to conduct a research on the strategy of pricing for MBA educational project of the A University, along with consideration to its students’ROI. Educational organization will benefit from disposing resources reasonably and increasing its competitiveness if we further study the questions mentioned above.This paper took MBA Center of A University which is a provincial university in Guangdong as the research object, focusing on systematic study on its strategy of pricing for MBA educational project. First of all, we used document inductive method so that we could figure out what kinds of factors influence MBA educational project in Guangdong market. Furthermore, we conducted a study on correlation between the weighted average price of Guangdong MBA educational market and the MBA price of A University, through Spearman’s rho of Nonparametric Correlation. Moreover, we conducted a study on MBA students’ROI through using《Salary Survey Report for Southern Talents in Guangdong Region between 2014 and 2015》 as data resources of expected income and conversion coefficient for MBA graduates, by using net present value method researched on the upper limit of MBA tuition fee and establishing mathematical model researched on the dynamic investment recovery period. The last, we use Michael E Porter’s Five Force Model in order to analysis the whole industrial environment, then compare competitiveness of each University as the area in radar chart in Guangdong through the method of radar chart.The result indicated that there was a positive correlation between the weighted average price of Guangdong MBA educational market and the MBA price of A University; The result also indicated the upper limit of MBA tuition fee in Guangdong is CNY 384 K, thus studying MBA is an investment of "no lose and interest bearing", and it’s completely in conformity with the theory of use value; The result of Mathematical model indicated MBA graduates only need increase CNY 519 from her or his monthly wage so that she or he can get disinvestment in 10 years, based on the tuition fee standard of A University for 2013 academic year as well; The result indicated non-price competitiveness for MBA project (autumn semester) of A University is above the average level in the same strategy group, but its price is at the low level, thus MBA project has the qualifications of rising in price.It’s possible to rise in price for its MBA project (autumn semester) of A University in the coming academic year. We proposed total tuition fee is CNY 83,000 by taking the effects of different factors into account. |
