With the development of the society,fragmentation reading has become one of the prevalent reading methods. More and more high school students also use this way of reading as usual. Under this new circumstance, the reading teaching has been changed already. Based on the analysis of fragmentation reading characteristics as well as the influences on high school reading teaching, the author explored the corresponding instructional strategies, expecting to use fragmentation reading effectively and improve the quality of reading teaching in high school. This article spread itself, mainly from the several parts below:The first part is about the definition of "fragmentation" and fragmentation reading concept and the analysis of fragmentation reading characteristics, based on the comparison between the fragmentation reading and traditional reading method. It also summarized the reasons why fragmentation reading emerged in reality from these aspects, such as social development, dissemination environment, readers’ demand,and so on.The second part is about the analysis of positive and negative effects that the fragmentation reading brings to the reading teaching in high school,according to the students’ reading status in high school. Positive effects include the increase of students’ reading interests, reading quantity, and reading eyesight. Negative effects include the adverse effects on their physical and mental health, reading motivation, reading habits and reading methods as well as the damage to the integrity of reading teaching segments.The third part is about the exploration of positive effects and negative effects on the fragmentation reading teaching in high school, based on the practice in fact, striving to find the measures for expanding the positive effects and solutions to solve the relevant negative effects effectively,including the strategies of optimizing reading environment, causing reading interests, cultivating reading habits and developing activities of reading teaching with the help of twitter, etc.Reading is an important way to improve the students’ Chinese attainment and increase personal accomplishment. But, as the changes of the times, reading will appear different characteristics in different periods. Under the influence of fragmentation reading, their reading quantity increased definitely. But we should pay more attentions to the quality of their reading. We need to adjust instructive strategies constantly when we are following the pace of times, in order to make reading become an effective way to help high school students enhance their own attainment.
