The research of this paper is based on the new urbanization and logical startingpoint is the current situation of the development of rural adult education in ourcountry. The cognitive theory of this paper is modern learning theory. I choose themost essential problem from many decisive factors which affecting the developmentof rural adult education. After studying and anglicizing about the present situation ofrural adult education, I strive to explore a new way which conforms to therequirements of the new urbanization. I study more related problems about the reformof the rural adult education and try to provide theoretical support and practicalguidance to solve the problems of rural adult education.The theme of this article is “the reform and development of rural adult educationfrom the perspective of new urbanization”. The article is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction. In this part, I expound the origin andsignificance of this topic and current research of rural adult education. I also explainthought, method and innovation of this paper. In addition, I paraphrase and define theconception of new urbanization and the reform and development of rural adulteducation, which give a solid foundation.In second chapter, I elaborate historical background. I describe the backgroundfrom the conceptions, teaching patterns and educational methods of rural adulteducation. I illustrate the necessity of the reform of rural adult education from threeaspects, the development direction, development goals and development demands andI put forward a new way to develop rural adult education.In third chapter, I describe the essence and implication of the reform anddevelopment of rural adult education in detail. From the perspective of harmonioussociety theory, education equity theory, human capital theory and the learning societytheory, I explore rationally for the purpose, content and method of rural adulteducation and I concentrate on constructing these three core elements of adulteducation. I indicate that the development of the rural adult education has importantmeaning to a new socialist countryside, adult education and the rural residentsthemselves. It is necessary to reform the rural adult education.In fourth chapter, I investigate the current situation of the development of adulteducation in rural areas by questionnaire and interview. By analyzing theinvestigation’s data of the research, I indicate the existing problems that affectingrural adult education under the new urbanization process and sum up some mainpoints such as the target, the structure, management system and resource security,which provide the reality basis of this thesis.In fifth chapter, I put forward some propositions and countermeasures ofreforming of rural adult education from the perspective of new urbanization. It clearsthe guiding ideologies, overall targets and basic principles of rural adult education.By the following six aspects, teaching system, education system, school-running system, management system, security system and resource system, I provide ascientific design for reforming and development of rural adult education from theoryto practice.The final chapter is conclusion. In this part of this research, I carry on the deepreflection and follow-up research expectation. I analyze some problems of theresearch such as the data and information, evaluation index and actual operation. AndI hope I can and improve it by solving these problems.
