Lost alone groups are defined by those who lost their only child’s parents, suchgroups are only occur in the context of Chinese society. In the21stcentury this groupbecome a widely topic and attract the attention from the society. Their appearance isassociated with the family planning policy. Most of the parents are the first groupwho advocate with the family planning policy, so now they are about50years old.But their life is much harder for their working ability and fertility decline. Althoughthe loss of national gave some help to this group, but isolation in the inner feelings isthe root of the pain of the life. So it is urgent to let the professional social worker helpthem establish the confidence of life and help them return to the normal life.Most previous studies focused on the macro-policy research, few studies payattention to the practical experience. In this paper, Yantian District, Shenzhen City isthe place of research. With the help of the local social worker, author intervened inone lost alone family successfully and then gained rich first-hand information.Most lost alone family facing varying degrees of mental, spiritual, disease,economic crisis, pension issues and so on. The working ability falls makes themincompetent to solve the above problems. Although the country give them somesupport, but because of different standards and most loss alone families do not wantto communicate with others, so that the policy implementation can’t be the case.Under the premise of internal and external difficulties, it is urgent to interventionthe lost alone family approach with social workers to help them get out of themiserable life. Due to the special nature of the lost alone family, social workersshould adopt emotional management, individualized treatment principles, whichreally helps the lost alone family come back to the society.
