Research On The Cultivation Of Students’ Media Literacy In Middle School Chinese Teaching

Media literacy education is an issue of concern in nowadays society, and it’s also theproblem which people often encounter in life in current information society. The whole socialexplosion, overload， false invalid of information exposure and cause concern of thecommunity,then issues which related to media literacy education are put on the agenda. Thesecondary stage is an important period of adolescent physical and mental development, socialprogress, life, world outlook, values formation, but it’s also the best period of media literacyconcept formation. Students are surrounded by varieties of media information, resulting in noteffectively distinguish the authenticity of media information due to the lack of knowledge ofthe media. The lack of media criticism and questioning capacity, blindly media informationcause bad impacts and consequences, media literacy education of middle school students isimminent.By using literature research method, experiential summary method, case analysis method,this thesis summaries the definitions of media literacy and media literacy education,functional and theoretical basis through the integration of domestic and foreign literaturecollection, then analyzes the research status of media literacy from domestic and overseas,and at last draws significance of this thesis. Media literacy to middle school students used as astarting point for the investigation, it a detailedly and objectively analyzes the lack of medialiteracy of middle school students and the causes and sums up the impact of the media on thestudents and draws that media literacy education is a pivotal role in secondary languageteaching. On the basis of proposed countermeasures for culturing media literacy in Chineseteaching in secondary schools, the thesis will increase the content of media literacy educationin school textbooks related foreign media literacy education. Moreover it’ll reform thedomestic secondary language textbooks and curriculum standards, and finally foster students’media literacy in the language classroom teaching.
