Positive psychology is a psychology research tendency springing up from the end ofthe19thcentury. It is aimed at develop the positive feeling, emotion experience and virtueof human and help people to attain more happiness and fulfillment. Different from thetraditional psychology that pays more attention to negative and morbid psychology,positive psychology advocates treating psychology phenomenon in positive attitude,focusing on positive feeling, quality and building positive environment.At present, in the Biology teaching in senior high school, people concentrate oncognition rather than emotion, but most of the Biology teachers don’t have emotionteaching. If ever, they just take emotion teaching as a teaching method, making somestudents study positively and be tired of learning. So the students lack the sense ofhappiness but are full of frustration. How to enhance the sense of happiness of the studentsis becoming an important element in the teaching practice at senior high school.On my personal note, if we put the idea of positive psychology into the practice ofbiology teaching, we can promote the sense of happiness of the students besidesdevelopment their positive emotion, love to learning and improve their scores. FromSeptember,2012to September2013, I conducted a subjective practice for about one year.In this practice, I focused on developing students and based the biology teaching onpositive psychology. Then I set experienced class and comparison class and after that, Ifitted positive psychology into experiment class and carried out conventional teaching incomparison class. Next, I design and made questionnaires to conduct a survey on the senseof happiness of the students. At last, I tested and compared the result with the method of Ttest. The result of the survey revealed that after putting the idea of the positive psychologyinto biology teaching in senior high, the positive quality of the students improves further.Especially in the measure of the sense of happiness, the students in experiment class iamuch better than those in comparison class.The whole paper is divided into five parts. The first part raises the question and shows the present research situation in China and other countries. The second part is thebasic connotation of positive psychology. The third part is the teaching condition ofbiology teaching in senior high. The forth part is the teaching practice of biology teachingin senior high under the idea of positive psychology. The fifth part combines relativeteaching practice and explain the cognition and enlightenment during the teaching in seniorhigh under the idea of positive psychology.
