Education works as a booster to promote scientific and technological progress, butalso as a place to train person for profession. The government gradually values theimportance of the education. Teachers act as disseminators of knowledge, but also as thesoldiers at the battleground of education. Their teaching ability directly effect the speed ofa country’s educational development.Through teaching reflection teachers can increaseprofessional knowledge and enhance their professional skills. It can be seen that teachingreflection is an essential factor and effective strategy to improve teachers’ professionalskills. As a key subject of education reform, Primary Mathematics is an important subjectof basic education. Professional development of mathematics teachers in Primary Schoolcan speed up the process of teacher professionalization. This paper provides us a commentabout basic content, methods and processes of mathematics teachers’ teaching reflection inPrimary School with the help of the concept model envisages and theoretical foundation.This paper provides a opportunity to discuss the significance of teaching reflection indeveloping teacher professional skills in Primary School after analyzing the relationshipbetween stage of teacher professional development and teaching reflection. In theprocess of writing the paper, author investigates the current situation of mathematicsteachers’ teaching reflection in Xinghai Primary School of Suzhou Industrial Park from thefollowing aspects as the cognition, effect, motivation, content, time, ways, perspective ofreflection and factors affecting reflection. It founds that teachers have a high sense ofidentity on the role of teaching reflection and that feedback from students is the principalmotivation of teaching reflection. It has also found that mathematics teachers haven’tattached the importance to the reflections of mathematic culture teaching so on. Due to the analysis of the reasons of the situation, author puts forward several strategies which isintended to enhance individual inner quality and the external environment.
