The new curriculum reform has been fully implemented in our country,as animportant curriculum resource textbooks have a different role comparing with the past inteaching. In the past, teachers regarded textbooks as Bible.The textbooks are considered as amaterial now. The concept of teaching textbooks is replaced by “use textbook”. Teachers arethe bridge of students and textbook, they change the content of textbook to the content ofteaching. The reconstruction of textbook is existed in this process generally. Reconstructingthe content of textbooks, mainly means that teachers read and understand textbook, thencomplement or delete the content of textbook in order to meet the students’ needs andpractical situations. The reconstruction should base on three-dimensional target of the newcurriculum, and ultimately implement the three-dimensional target of the new curriculum. Inorder to learn the situation of the reconstructing in the area that new curriculum reform bepracticed lately, I surveyed the reconstructing situation in senior middle school of Suining city.Afterwards, this paper proposed strategies of reconstructing the content of new textbooks withText Comprehension Theory, Constructivist Theory, Theory of Knowledge Transfer, NewCurriculum, Educational Psychology, Situation Theory, and so on. Then I prepared andimplemented the teaching case. I interviewed students after class to understanding students’needs. The main innovation of the paper: First of all, the research is related to the area whichpractices the new curriculum reform lately. Secondly, the teaching case and students’ feedbackare involved in this paper. Thirdly, it involves liberal arts students.Three parts is consisted of this dissertation.Firstly, I investigated on reconstruction of new physics textbooks in Suining area.Thirty-five teachers and seven hundreds students took part in questionnaire. Then I observedthree teachers’ class in a high school. In addition, I analyzed three different class of “Resultantforce”. The result shows followings: Teachers always complement the content while hardlydelete. Requirements of examination is most important basis for reconstruction of new textbook. The physics teaching of liberal arts students was neglected. Some teachers wantedto carry out new curriculum idea, but they were limited by the arrangement of curriculum andconditions of school.Secondly, this paper proposed strategies of reconstructing the content of new textbooks:Breakthrough in the understanding of teaching methods, it must be reconstructed five kindsknowledge, meeting students’ need is very important, situation is emphasis.At last, this paper indicated teaching case and students’ feedback.
