In recent years, with the development of the society, the vagrants and beggars as aspecial group exist in the society, traditional system for internment and repatriation havebeen unable to meet the needs of the people. In2003as the《Measures for urban vagrantsand beggars》approach, they can take protection of the rights of the floating populationfrom the law. The phenomenon for vagrants and beggars as a social problem brings manyproblems to the development of society. How to be more scientific human nature for theimplementation of relief for vagrants and beggars has attracted much attention.Scientific and social work is helpful for the purpose, with professional knowledge,skills and methods to solve the problem of social profession, is conducive to maintainingsocial harmony and stability. And one of the social work intervention methods used in themanagement of relief for vagrants and beggars, which has become a new research focusin the field of social work practice. At present, the studies from the perspective of socialwork methods to aid management in related issues, is also lack of certain practicalapplication research, and lack of advice about specific region put forward adjustmeasures to local conditions.In this paper we take Taonan rescue station as an example, has carried on theon-the-spot investigation, understand the running situation of the site and professionalsocial work method in the on-site application status, had an exploratory study for thesocial work intervention for vagrants and beggars conducted. To understand theprofessional social work method is currently on the site has not been universalapplication, having analyzed social work that can step in to the reason for vagrants andbeggars and social work intervention in the implementation of the conditions for vagrantsand beggars. By recruiting volunteers to provide services for vagrants and beggars,raising social funds and integrate social resources increase survival ability.At present, the development of China’s social work ushered in a rare golden periodbecame more and more attention from all walks of life and value. After analyzing of theuse of social work to rescue station and the feasibility of carrying out rescue work, the author adopted the methods of case work, group work, establish service relationshipaccord to the social work professional knowledge freelanced, evaluate the advantage ofthe recipients and service expectations, master the first-hand information afterestablishing goals and make plans, use communication, interviews and other professionalskills to carry out the case interview. Assessment to be solved, finally achieve the idealeffect. Of professional social work method in concrete examples, the application of socialassistance has carried on the preliminary attempt.Finally, this article is in view of the social work intervention of relief for vagrantsand beggars approaches and development direction is put forward some suggestions: firstis to determine the function of the social relief station positioning scientifically. Thesecond one is the introduction of professional social workers and volunteers to provideservices for vagrants and beggars. The third one is to improve the social support networkfor vagrants and beggars. The forth one is to promote the fusion of social work and socialassistance. And the last one is to establish and improve the social support system. Wehope to make an effort to improve the level of specialization of social work, and alsohope that can provide relief for vagrants and beggars work with beneficial reference.
