After the reform of the new curriculum, high-school ideological courseshave been constituted by compulsory and elective modules. This thesisfocuses on the problem areas, course standards and syllabus requirements ofthe high-school ideological curriculum. By fusing the contents of thehigh-school ideological revision, applying the concept structural charts andrequiring the construction of a knowledge structure chart, the author hasconducted practical analysis and research into the usage of a structural charts,and thus is of the opinion that we should begin with the practical aspects ofthe student’s learning environment and remain faithful to the4compulsorymodules and their intrinsic routines in building the knowledge structure chart.The author hopes that this thesis will serve as a modest spur on the road to thehighly-effective classroom, by inducing valuable feedback from readers, incontrast to rote-application.In order to achieve better results for the high-school Year3ideologyrevision course, this thesis describes how the structural chart method can beused to upgrade the teaching level and also cultivate better learning habits andlifelong learning concepts on the part of the student. The first part of thethesis is the introduction, and in the main describes the practical researchfindings of subject-matter theorists in this field. This part also gives an insightto the background, research method and main thrust of the thesis. The authorshall illustrate, how, through the use of structure charts in the high-schoolideology revision course, teaching effectiveness can be enhanced, and alsoupgrade the problem-recognition and solving skills of the students. Thesecond part of this thesis analyzes the concept of structural chart, their typesand specific features. The third part shall analyze the role and history in theuse structural charts in high-school ideological revision. Finally, the fourth part links the course material, and through the use of examples, illustrateshow to use the structure chart method. This thesis concludes by proposing apractical blend of teaching method and material to achieve an enhancement ofteaching effectiveness.
