Geographic charts are intuitive graphics and tables which are drawnaccording to geographic data.Geographic charts show geographicalcharacteristics of things, the causes, the process, as well as relations withother things in the form of graphics and tables. So using Geographic Chartsthrough geographic teaching can effectively highlight the key, break throughthe difficulties and consolidate knowledge. This article by doing statistics of the number, the type of classification, the calculation of the proportion, and the analysis of the textbooks to XiangJiao Ban <Compulsory I>, gets the result that this textbook has abundance ofcharts, variety sorts, rich charts content, diagrams represented moderate depth. But the fly in the ointment is that it is not ideal to show the distribution of thechart and the number of proportions in some teaching difficulties, and someperformance formally complicated content can also be more streamlined. Thus for this shortage, student as the main body, the most vulnerable tobreaking through the difficulties for the purpose of student perspective, basedon the analysis of teaching materials and their characteristics, four aspects ofthe charts and case design are designed and that is, an individual knowledgechart and case, multiple knowledge chart and case, the figures and numbercombined chart and case, schematic diagram and digital table combined chartand Case. Through the process of case teaching in the classroom, we canmake full use of various geographic charts, especially can reveal geographicconnections between things, simplify the complex concepts, abstruse theoryvisualization, and embody abstract principles, to facilitate students’understanding and memory. Graphic design plays accessorial benefits to textbook applications orteaching, chart case design plays a role of simplifying the complex, breakingthrough the difficulties to the application of materials and teaching. DesignedGeographical chart, and teaching cases about Geographical charts provide areference to the majority of first-line teachers. The first part of this paper is the introduction part. The second part is asummary of charts in the textbook presentation based on statistical charts andanalysis and as well as a summary of its characteristics and shortcomings. Thethird part based on the first two parts, designs the Geographical charts andteaching method for the shortcomings of the chart in the textbook. The fourthpart is a conclusion of the entire paper.
