Interpersonal trouble refers to the discord and coordinate relationship caused by many factors, with anxiety, loneliness, low self-esteem, depression, depression and other negative emotions. Interpersonal troubles are the main reason of hindering the development of social activities, and also affect the normal operation of mental activities, effective interpersonal communication is a prerequisite for mental health. The current society is in the information age, interpersonal relation presents a multi-level multi-channel increasingly complex situation, the influence of which on the individual mental health and development is more prominent. Once interpersonal troubles arise, these troubles often cause psychological imbalance, leading to psychological problems, the serious may even be suicidal. For college students, good relationships not only means a harmonious interpersonal atmosphere in the school, it is a preparation for further socialization on mentality and behavior. The problem of relationship is always a hot spot in psychological research, but the direct study of interpersonal trouble is rare. This paper aims to better understand differences of interpersonal trouble in demographic variables, and study the correlation between the mental health and interpersonal trouble. We showed a specified direction for mental health education colleges, but also provide the basis for guiding students to learn self-growth and solving problems of personal relationship, which has a great theoretical and practical significance.To further understand the relationship between current situation of college students and mental health, this study randomly selected700college students among the students of Jingzhou to fill out two scale,"Interpersonal Comprehensive Diagnostic Scale" and "Chinese Mental Health Scale"(CCSMHS) which reveal interpersonal trouble and mental health of college students.651questionnaires as well as93%of questionnaires were taken back, there were626valid questionnaires as well as89.4%of questionnaires.(1) Interpersonal trouble exists generally in the sample,45.5%of which have interpersonal problems in some degrees, and10.4%of which have serious troubles. The detection rate of Comprehensive Diagnostic Scale inteipersonal in the four dimensions are listed below:communication and making friends problems (50.3%)> chat behavioral problems (44%)> troubles of the opposite sex (33.5%)> interpersonal problems (15.5%). The means of each dimension are:communication and making friends (x=2.73)> chat behavior problems (x=2.20)> troubles of the opposite sex (x=1.96)> interpersonal problems (x=1.37).(2) There were ignificant differences in communication and heterosexual relation dimensions:the female is higher than male college students on the communication dimension; the male is higher than male on the heterosexual relation dimension.(3) College students in different grades had no difference on the four dimensions, only the senior students were significant different with the other there on the interpersonal dimension.(4) Whether or not be a student leader had significant differences on the four dimensions:student leaders had a lower score than the other common students on the dimensions of chat behavioral problems, communication and making friends; and student leaders had a higher score on the dimensions of interpersonal dimension.(5) Whether or not subjects had studied psychology had significant differences on the chat behavior problems dimensions, the distress of the subjects who had not studied psychology was significantly higher than who had studied psychology.(6) Subjects lived in different place had differences on the chat behavior problems and heterosexual relation dimensions:the distress of subjects from rural areas was significantly higher than students from cities.(7) Whether or not subjects was the only child had significant differences on the heterosexual relation dimension, the distress of the only child in one family was significantly higher than who was not.(8) Whether or not subjects was single had significant differences on the chat behavior problems and the heterosexual relation dimensions, the distress of subjects who was single was significantly higher than who was not.(9) College students in different family had no difference on the four dimensions, single parent and both parent family had no difference.(10) Whether subjects lived in mixed dorm had differences on interpersonal dimension, the distress of subjects who lived in mixed dorm was significantly higher than who was not.(11) College students in different number of dorm family had differences on the four dimensions, single parent and both parent family had no difference, this study showed through LSD analysis that3students in one room is the best condition.(12) In anxiety, self-esteem, social attack, paranoid, psychotic tendencies of these5factors, the level of mental health of college students is significantly higher than the national norm. But in the forcing factors, level on mental health of college students is significantly lower than the national norm.(13) Different gender subjects had significant differences on the psychosexual disorder dimension, the male students was lower than the female.(14) College students in different grade had differences on the social withdrawal, social attacks, impulsive dimensions. On the social withdrawal, subjects were college freshman mental was lower than juniors and seniors; on social attacks, seniors’ mental health was lower than the freshman; on the impulse factor, juniors and seniors was lower than the freshman.(15) Whether the subject is the only chid reached a statistically significant difference on social attacks factor. On the social dimension, subjects who is the only child is lower than who is not; on the constrain dimension subjects who is the only child was lower than others.(16) Subjects lived in different place had differences on the social withdrawal and dependency dimensions:Subjects from rural areas were lower than who come from cities on the social withdrawal dimension; and students from the city’s dependence is lower than students from urban subjects.(17) Interpersonal trouble had significant relation with mental health on all dimensions.(18) This study take stepwise regression with the four factors of interpersonal problems and the dependent factors of mental health. The result showed that the factors of interpersonal trouble could predict the students’mental health.
