The Application Of Group Work In Solving Grandparents’Upbringing Of The Children’s Problems

With the continuous development of our society transformation and urbanization,grandparents’ upbringing has become a very natural and common phenomenon in thefamily of early childhood education. Although grandparents’ upbringing compared toparents’ upbringing has its unique advantages, but it brings more and more problems. Aswe all know, early education is essential for the growth of children, but grandparents’upbringing causes the absence of the life skills, affects personality development, blocks thedevelopment of intelligence for children, and even lead to family upbringing conflicts.This study suggests that from the physical and psychological characteristics of clients,from the needs of clients as well as from the perspective of the advantages of group workmethods, group work methods in solving grandparents’ upbringing of the children’sproblems has its applicability.The study is based on the theory of social learning theory,the mirror my theory, field theory and group dynamics theory and social support networksto carry out applied research work conducted in Suzhou S community. To know thechildren’s problems and needs,the study uses the methods of questionnaires, interviews andobservation to collect information. And select the group work practice methods for solvinggrandparents’ upbringing of2-4years-old children’s problems in order to carried out thetentative research and exploration. By showing and analyzing process of group work andsummarizing the group work experience, thus, affirmed that the group work ingrandparents’ upbringing of the children’s development has a positive effect. The studyalso discusses the principles and techniques in group work tentatively, finally presents itsdeficiencies and recommendations for improvement.Hope the study can provide somereferences and suggestions to grandparents’ upbringing of the children．...
