Lintan is a small county which located inethnic area, the development of the scientific literacy of students have manyunscientific aspects. So the research of ethnic area junior middle school students’biological science literacy, and puts forward the reasonable countermeasures, isconducive to enhancing the status of biology in this area and enhancing biologicalscientific literacy of students.In this article, defines the relative concepts of the biological scientific literacyand introduces the different development situation at home and abroad. take theLintan county two school students as an example, investigate and analyze thebiological scientific literacy of students. Then analyzes the advantages anddisadvantages of Lintan county junior middle school students’ biological scienceliteracy. design, practice and self-examination in biology teaching and puts forwardthe scientific countermeasures.Through the study, the training of biological science literacy of students inLintan county middle school is unreasonable: social and cultural atmosphere lack ofthe cradle of the growth of The biological science literacy; family education lack ofcultivation of students’ comprehensive quality; evaluation mechanism of school forteachers and students mislead the formation of biological science literacy; teacher’scomprehensive quality cannot guide the biological science literacy of studentseffectively; Classroom teaching can’t develop biological science literacy of juniormiddle school students best. Aiming at these problems, in strengthen the conceptteaching,find new curriculum resources, carry out exploratory teaching, infiltrationSTS teaching etc. do some practice, explore, reflection analysis and summary,putforward some can improve the teaching methods of biological science literacy.through comprehensive analysis and practice, put forward some kinds ofcountermeasures to improve the scientific literacy of students such as create a socialatmosphere of advocating science, update the concept of parents education, improve the educational management system, enhance the comprehensive quality of theteachers of Biology, development of a wide variety of classroom teaching etc.
