College counselors are a special group of both teachers and administrative staffof double identity, key work is to engage students in the ideological and politicaleducation and management work. With the changes of environment, studentswork required the working mechanism of Counselor’s profound change, to thework function of educ-ation, management and service ofthree-in-one.However, in the process of college reform unceasingly thorough, collegecounselor team is developing slowly, facing difficulties and severe. How to build ahigh level, high-quality, able to adapt to the new change and the new situation ofcounselors is an important problem in higher education, we need to constantlypractice and exploration.There is inevitable connection difference and the scale of College Counselors inGansu province management mechanism and the type of training, equipment, systemconstru-ction, general counselor team and incentive mechanism and national levelthere is a gap.The purpose of this paper is to summarize the counselor management mechanism,to understand the situation of national and Gansu province counselors construction,and from the counselor positioning mechanism, selecting mechanism, trainingmechanism, evaluation mechanism body to start, find the problems and causes, finallyobtain workable counte-rmeasures, so as to make the healthy, stable developmentof counselor team.
