The Group Work Plan Of Social Work Training For Drug Police

The serious problem of drug abuse has become a globlization issue that the worldwide people faced with together. All countries formulate the corresponding policies and regulations to fight drugs. In 2008, the drug laws of the People’s Republic of China formally implemented is the turning point of China’s drug control cause towards a new journey. Compulsory isolation detoxification as one of the main methods of drug laws has played a huge role in saving and educating the drug addicts. However in recent years’ practice, the method gradually revealed many problems and shortcomings, the most crucial is the high supervision and low human-based management, which lead to the rehabilitation effect in compulsory isolated detoxification center is good, but with a low drug withdrawal rate. On a national scale, there are a lot of compulsory isolation rehabs bring in people-oriented social work into rehabs, with the way of Delegating social workers and Purchasing service to render service for drug addicts. The practice shows that the core value of people orientation is a much needed element in compulsory isolation rehabs, this method has very big effect in improving the drug effect and raising drug withdrawal rate outside the rehab. However, the lack of professional rehabilitating social work talents and imperfect management system lead to most drug rehabilitation centers are not equipped with detoxification social workers, which restricts the development of the drug rehabilitation cause in China. As the resident professional staff in rehabilitation centers, if the drug police take on the role of social workers with professional training, it must be an innovation of our country’s drug business, and also a new method that is worthy to be popularized.Based on this, this paper focuses on the compulsory isolating detoxification policeman to design a group work plan. In view of the team members’needs and problems, the group is mainly want to reach four goals:Firstly, fully understand what is social work and improve study interest; Secondly, internalize social work values and principles unconsciously in group activities; Thirdly, through various forms of training methods to make team members learn the method of case-by-case counseling, supporting group activities and growth group activities; Fourth, through the group process, promote team members’confidence and sense of responsibility. This training team recruits 3 to 4 policemen of physiological seedling period, physical rehabilitation period, and drug consolidation phase as a team in X rehab voluntarily. Activity time is scheduled for weekly Friday afternoon at 3 o’clock to five o ’clock, mainly in the conference room and function room in the drug rehabilitation center, with the forms of playing games, sharing with each other, and doing questionnaires. After the group, this paper will discuss how to evaluate the effect of the group. In the evaluation on the group process, mainly through group work recording sheet, team summary sheet, and the sharing for each group activities and homework. As for the evaluation on the result of the team, this paper mainly use former stage evaluation sheet, effect assessment questionnaire, self assessment sheet of team staffs, and team members’ feedback form to complete the evaluation work. Through the form of group training, this paper hope to achieve the goals of this group, and to provide a new perspective and method for China’s drug business.
