Practice Report On Silk Road Economic Belt Cities Cooperation And Development Forum

In the context of economic globalization, openness, cooperation and win-win is the common theme of each city. Conforming to the trend of economic globalization, Urumqi pursers to strengthen the cooperation between cities, to share opportunities for common development,to jointly respond to risks and challenges, to contribute to the economic revitalization of the development of the Silk Road in a long-term perspective. I was privileged to participate in a number of exchanges and experiences, which enables me to t complete the task of interpretation analyze of the situation based on on-the-scene experience.This paper is largely based on a practice event, that is held in Urumqi in July 2015 from 22 to 27 th "Silk Road Economic Belt Cities Cooperation and Development Forum". The Forum attracted mayors along the Silk Road to participate. During the meeting, the author served as Mr Wahid’s interpreter,acting Mayor of Afghanistan’s capital of Kabul, and completed interpretation tasks.This paper is made up of of four parts. The first part introduces the Forum and the major tasks. The second part is about preparations. The third part is the main body of this report, which illustrates problems and solutions during the task. The last part shows what lessons were drawn from the whole interpreting practice.
