Report On The Interpreting Practice Of Generating Sets Altra-low Emission Reconstruction Project

The report is an interpreting practice report on No.5 and No.6 Generating Set Altra-low Emission Reconstruction Project in Jiaozuo Wanfang Thermal Power Plant.Based on the Interpretive Theory,the examples are given and analyzed in the report to show that the interpreter receives the meaning instead of words when doing interpreting work while re-expressing by transferring the meaning to another language.Otherwise,the interpreter work would be suspended with word-to-word process and interpreting.The process is"deverbalization" that is the core of the Interpretive Theory.In addition,the interpreter uses cognitive baggage,cognitive context and communicational environment to do"cognitive complement" in the process of interpreting thus completing the interpreting work.The report makes a summary and does analysis about the interpreting practice under the guide of the Interpretive Theory.Furthermore,the interpreter also expounds the significance of "deverbalization" and "cognitive complement" for the interpreting work especially for scientific and technical interpreting.
