Love is an important subject in life for college students, and the spouse choosing values plays a guidance role in love behavior. With the development of the times, the college students’ spouse choosing values of are changing constantly. In addition to psychology, there have been a lot of studies about the college students’ spouse choosing values in the past. Thus it was necessary to research it from the view of Psychology. This study was divided into three parts:Part one: We originally confirmed the theoretical dimensions of college students’ spouse choosing values and then drew up the draft of the needed questionnaire through analyses of the related references, opening questionnaire survey and the suggestions from psychology experts. We determined the final questionnaire through exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factoranalysis, and then tested the reliability and validity of the final questionnaire.Part two: Texted college students by the questionnaire for the spouse choosing values of college students to explore the current situation and differences of college students’ spouse choosing values.Part three: Texted college students by Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale to explore the current situation and the relationship of college students’ self-esteem.This result showed:1. The results of exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis showed that college students’ mate selection value included 5 factors: economic level, personal ability, personal qualities, psychological match, physical appearance. At the same time, the results of tested ofreliability and validity indicated this questionnaire has good structure and was able to become an effective tool to test the value of college students’ mate selection.2. The distribution of college students’ mate selection value was negative skewness. There were significant differences in genders, native places, majors, situation about love among college students’ mate selection value.3. The distribution of college students’ self-esteem was negative skewness. There were significant differences in genders, grades, native places, situation about love among college students’ self-esteem.4. There were positive correlations between the personal ability, psychological match and self-esteem. There was some negative prediction function of self-esteem to personal and psychological match, but that’s not strong.
