A Report Of Simulating Consecutive Interpretation On The 2^nd World Rubber Forum & Information Conference Of 2015

Taking China International Rubber Industry Expo as a background, this report is based on the first industrial forum The 2nd World Rubber Forum & Information Conference, 2015. The interpreter simulates consecutive interpretation to interpret speeches of Wenying Xu(vice-chairman of China Rubber Industry Association), Yan Zhang(CEO of Rubber Valley Group Co., Ltd) and Xinze Liu(a partner of Beijing Kangda Law Firm). Their speeches cover the development of rubber industry in China and 13 th Five-year Plan, Internet plus promoting transformation and upgrade of rubber industry as well as double negative survey of tire industry in China.In order to carry out the task well, the interpreter gets herself to be familiar with the flow of the forum, speakers at the conference and their respective topics, reads carefully the meeting notebook, and makes the related term list. In this report, the interpreter applies the translation strategies such as paraphrase, amplification, omission and so on to analyze cases, finds that the interpreter is not good at translating number,unfamiliar words and can’t remember the complete information. Through this report,the interpreter makes a careful summary which she hopes will be helpful in the future study.
