The world has recently focused on researches about teachers’job burnout and teaching efficacy. Unfortunately, there is scarcely any study concerning both issues regarding Chinese teachers in Malaysian Independent Chinese Secondary Schools (MICSS). Thus this paper is to investigate the current situation of Chinese teachers’job burnout and teaching efficacy in MICSS through Questionnaire, then find out the factors of the issues through analysis, discuss the relationship between Chinese teachers’ job burnout and their teaching efficacy, and finally point out some suggestions to solve the issues. The result is as followed:(1) The general situation of burnout in Chinese teachers of MICC is not very serious, the issue of emotional exhaustion needs more attention, second by reduced personal accomplishment, while the least serious problem is depersonalization. Gender difference and whether being head teacher in burnout among Chinese teachers is not distinct. However, significant differences in burnout are found among Chinese teachers with different marital condition, age, education level, length of service and grade. Unmarried teachers, age 20 to 29, length of services are within 5 to 10 years have relatively higher emotional exhaustion level. Chinese teachers age 20 to 29, length of services below 5 years, Bachelor’s degree qualification, teaching junior level have lower personal accomplishment. Thus we can conclude that burnout of Chinese teachers is influenced by the society, occupation and students.(2) Chinese teachers of MICSS have their overall teaching efficacy above average, while general teaching efficacy inferior to personal teaching efficacy. Factors like marital condition, age and education level brings more significant differences to teaching efficacy of Chinese teachers compared to factors appertain to gender, length of service, grade and whether that particular teacher is a head teacher. Result shown that Chinese teachers with relatively high personal teaching efficacy have following characteristics:married, age above 50 years old, master qualification and above, taught more than 20 years. Those who are not a head teacher are found to have highest general teaching efficacy.(3) There are high negative correlation between job burnout and teaching efficacy in Chinese teachers of MICSS. Both general teaching efficacy and personal teaching efficacy of Chinese teachers have negative predictive values on their job burnout respectively in three dimensions.
