The Study Of The Inheritance And Protection Of Thang-ga Art

Thang-ga art is a reprentative of Tibetan culture and art with unique painting art form, with distinctive national features ethnic characteristics, and rich religious features and unique artistic style. It has been protected and inherited due to the multiple values and functions like economic, social, political and educational ones. However, under the impact of various social factors, the protection and inheritance of it has been deeply affected. Thus, how to conserve and inherit of Thang-ga art has been an important social issue to be resolved. This study will adopt qualitative research methodology and focus on The Thousand Thang-ga of Guru Padmasambhava to analyze the value, function, inheritance form and content of current Thang-ga art. The evidence shows that there are some problems in inheriting such art including decrease of the value and function, the constraints and problems of the inheritance content and for. Therefore, implications for better inheritance of Thang-ga art in the three aspects including value inspiration, rich content and multiform are given from the perspective of educational anthropology.This article consists of five parts:The introduction part mainly involves the background, significance of the study and literature review.The second part concerns basic theories and research methodology by defining the key concepts and reviewing the study methods and study design.The third and fourth part focus on the analyzing the value,form, and the problems faced when protecting Thang-ga art with the example of The Thousand Thang-ga of Guru Padmasambhava.The fifth part put forward the proposal to inherit Thang-ga art in terms of value inspiration, rich content and multiform based on the relation between education and art inheritance from the perspective of education anthropology. Concept of inheritance may influence the regulation and methods of cultural inheritance. As education anthropology has implications for ethnic culture inheritance and education, culture, inheritance ways and inheritors of ethnic culture, culture inheritance may need to be more rich and multi-dimensional.
