| A business text is one of the most common types in translation practice. In this thesis, three investment documents will be used as examples to analyze the methods and strategies in translating typical business English text into Chinese.This thesis consists of four parts. The first part briefly describes the state and characteristics of professional translation and the problems will be encountered in professional translation practice. The second part elaborates the task descriptions and process combined with some specific translation cases. The third part is the core of the thesis which analyzes the difficulties encountered in business translation and explores some general strategies and methods in translation process with some examples, such as how to avoid inertial thinking in translation, how to translate demonstrative pronouns and long sentences, etc. The last part is the summery which presents a few comments on how to do translation well and how to foster translators’ personal qualities. |
