| With the further development of China’s publicity work and the increasing international status, the English translation of news buzzwords remains a research hotspot in both Chinese translation circles and foreign media. At present, although there are lots of scholars who have studied the English translation of news buzzwords, there are few precedents for the Chinese to English translation methods of news buzzwords in CHINADAILY.COM.CN, a native Chinese newspaper website with immense influence in the world. This paper is based on the translation practice of the news in CHINADAILY.COM.CN. And the examples of news buzzwords are all abstracted from August 2013 to March 2014. With these materials, this paper sums up three main C-E translation methods of news buzzwords by means of several research approaches such as literature survey, comparative and induction analysis. Through analyzing the process of C-E translation of these news buzzwords, this paper sums up superior translation methods that go for news articles to convey the new changes of Chinese society to the English readers more correctly and introduce Chinese culture abroad for the purpose of communication. |
