A Practice Report Of Interpreting Of TWBV’s Promotion Conference

The interpreting practice report is based on the author’s interpretation for a promotion and technical negotiating conference and the author participated as an interpreter for Baoding Tianwei Baobian Electric Co., Ltd(TWBB) in March 2014. The report learns from the experience of the author’s interpreting practice with combination of documents, writings and critical theoretical perspectives about theory and strategy on interpreting practice internally and externally. It mainly discusses theory and skills on conference interpreting practice according to the integral process of interpreting practice which includes task description,procedure description, preparation, case analyses and summary. The interpreting practice report briefly summarizes characteristics of usage of words and sentences at the language level, finds out the general rule of coherence of conference interpreting practice at the discourse level and discusses control of conference interpreting practice at the non- linguistic level wholly in order to provide counterparts who work for conference interpreting practice with reference and advice.The interpreting practice report includes five chapters, which are task description,procedure description, preparation, case analyses and summary. The first and second chapters mainly discuss nature, characteristic and overview of conference interpreting practice. The third chapter mainly introduces preparation for collecting materials and drawing up a plan for conference interpreting practice. The forth chapter is the core content of this report and mainly demonstrates how an interpreter grasps the internal rule of conference interpreting practice and external links with specific cases. The final chapter summarizes the author’s experience on conference interpreting practice.
