With the rapid development of the commodity economy in China, the competitionof the clothing brands is quite fierce, and the clothing homogeneity phenomenonis very severe. It is more and more emphasized from the brand clothing that theimages presented to the customers from the stores and the clothing commodityassortment display which will be an important part of the stores. However, in themarket background, these differences has been given a different brandcharacteristics, leading to the commodities’ differences, will inevitably causedifferent products combination. This paper is based on the commodity assortmentcharacteristics of different types of store to analyze the different brands ofcommodity clothing displaying methods, and to provide a reference in the displayfor different types of clothing brands. In this paper, a review of a large numberof documents and store brand research, the full integration of theory and practicehas been done, and the main contents of this paper are divided into three parts:The first part is an overview of the commodity assortment and clothing displayfor building the relevance between the products and clothing display, and theconcepts of the two will be outlined as well. The second part of this paper isthe approach study of clothing store commodity assortment. By analyzing themerchandise mix and store displays methods, we will select designer brands, fastfashion brands, store integration brands to get the display methods for differentclothing brands. The study found the unique display methods of designer brandsis wardrobe display and image combination display; The unique display methodsof fast fashion brands is color display and repeat display; The unique displaymethods of the store integration brands is unit regional style display.Meanwhile,we will apply the summary and analysis into a specific case study so that the brandstores, subject to the spending habits of consumers and the premise of the brandpositioning, would carry out the purpose of display design. The third part is basedon the analysis from the second part. We will put into the design practice anddisplay method for the virtual brand store through a virtual designer brand. Ihope that by studying this subject, we can provide a convenient and operationalidea and method of operation for the brand operators,designers and also providea theoretical basis for guiding the store display.
