The Reconstruction Of The Archives Of ~d?ul-gi-ì-lí(?S 7vi/14-IS 2 Xii/15), The Cattle And Flock Official And ?u-ì-lí(AS 4 Iii/13-IS 2 X), The Flock Official Of The Animal Center Of Ur-Ⅲ Dynasty In Puzri?-Dagan

é-Puzrish-Dagan, the animal tribute center in Drehem, is one of the biggest animal tribute centers built by the king ?ulgi of Ur III dynasty at the 39 th year during his reign. Now the site of Office of Puzri?-Dagan is in Drehem of Iraq. As the national power and royalty of Ur III dynasty became increasingly stronger, more animals were paid as tribute to the king throughout the country. Thus, ?ulgi established a specialized institution to manage the livestock. At the moment, the governors and royal families all over the dynasty paid tribute to the divinities. Also, the royal officials, other officials as well as the soldiers needed quantities of edible livestock. So it aroused the need to build a specialized institution to manage the enormous amount of the work on the receptions and withdrawals of the livestock. é-Puzri?-Dagan, which was near to the religious center of Nippur and Tummal, therefore was elected as the place of the Royal Animal Center.The office of Puzri?-Dagan was the biggest and the most influential animal managing center in ancient Mesopotamia, so it occupies a very important place in the economic management system of Ur III dynasty. So the documents which were excavated in Drehem are very important historical materials to study the political, economic, religious and diplomatic history of ancient Euphrates and Tigris.The work in this paper is to reconstruct the archives of ?ulgi-ili and ?u-ili, who were the transporting officers in é-Puzri?-Dagan. Up till now, we have not found the research published specifically for these officials yet. At present, we have collected 84 excavated documents regarding their work in Drehem. This paper is divided into two parts: in the first part, the paper introduces the profession, work time, job nature and the contacts of ?ulgi-ili and ?u-ili and ?u-ili’s application of the livestock. And the second part reconstructs the collected original documents about ?ulgi-ili and ?u-ili according to the chronological order and presents the Sumerian transliterations and both the English and Chinese translation. Through the analyses of ?ulgi-ili, the conclusions are listed below:he worked from ?S 7 vi/14 to IS 2 xii/25. He took over from Ahu-Wer and was an important official in the tribute animal Center. He witnessed the ultimate period of é-Puzri?-Dagan and thus the materials provide us with the most original and most direct documents to research Ur III dynasty.
