China has been have many communication and relationship with Southeast Asia in politics, economics, culture and so on. The time of Chinese writers’Southeast Asia writing is concentrated in 1920s to 1940s and most of the writers had some experience in Southeast Asia. Some of the writers traveled through Southeast Asia, like Ba Jin and Xu Zhimo; some of them had worked there for a while, like Lao She and Xu Dishan;some of them were forced to exile in Southeast Asia because of the war, like Yu Dafu and Ba Ren; some of them had led a vagrant life in for in Southeast Asia for their subjective will, like Ai Wu. These writers became attached to Southeast Asia for many reasons and Southeast Asia affected their writing in novels, prose, poetry and other forms of literature.In the Chinese writers’Southeast Asia writing, there are many recording and description of the writers’wander experience in foreign. From the writing, we can see the writers’strong feeling of homesickness and the intense patriotic sentiment. There is also lots of Southeast Asia’s unique tropical customs and practices in the writing, from which we can get to know the local tropic scenery, strange multi national customs, folk houses and the local people’s free, wild pursuit of love.
