The misuse of Monosyllabic homophones is the recurring problem in the studying of Chinese words to the foreign Students. Many scholars to explore this issue for decades, and provide a number of statistics. Therefore, on the basis of previous studies, this article use the monosyllabic homophones as the main object, and use The Graded Chinese Syllables, Characters and Words for the Application of Teaching Chinese to the Speakers of Other Languages (2010) as the main reference.This article studied the monosyllabic homophone of the vocabulary section, and combined the foreign Students’corpus of Anhui University and combined my teaching practice, sorted out the errors and the possible errors of the students in the use of monosyllabic homophones, then analyzed the reasons of the errors, and provided the corresponding teaching strategies in facts. This article provided some opinions in how to use of homophones with vocabulary teaching. I hope these opinions can help the students of their Chinese acquisition. This article includes four parts:The first part introduces the reason of the main problem, the scope of the study article, the research status, the research purposes and significance, the research methods.The second part researches the monosyllabic homophones on the base of The Graded Chinese Syllables, Characters and Words for the Application of Teaching Chinese to the Speakers of Other Languages. Including the same shape of monosyllabic homophones and the different shape of monosyllabic homophones. The article analyzes the 424 groups of the monosyllabic homophones, starting with the word form, usage, parts of speech and so on, then finds out the difference and the contact between the groups.The part three sorted out the errors and the possible errors of the students in the use of monosyllabic homophones, then analyzed the reasons of the errors.The last part provides the corresponding teaching strategies to the teaching of monosyllabic homophone. Probe the teaching principles and teaching methods in the teaching of monosyllabic homophone. At the same time, put forward the proposal of perfecting the teaching material in Chinese foreign teaching.
