Teaching Chinese as a Second Language focus on languageknowledge and language skills training. But teaching Chinese rhetoric isalso very important,because Chinese rhetoric is a very important way touse language. While one of the common Chinese rhetorics is analogy, sostudents should acquire that knowledge. This paper aims to analyze BoyaChinese textbook analogy sentence, then to investigate the distributioncharacteristics of each figures of speech. Finally, some practicalsuggestions for teaching will be raised.In addition to the introduction and conclusion, this paper is dividedinto three parts:The first chapter is about what have done for Chinese figures ofspeech, and what have been ignored.The second chapter is the central part of the full text, the statisticaldata about figures of speech will be analyzed carefully.The third chapter proposes some useful advises.
