In the history of modernChinese literature, it has high academic and humanistic values. The study by the scholar focuseson its literature, culture, philosophy fields; however, the study from a linguistic point of view isrelatively seldom. This thesis is from the linguistics perspective and analyses the languagecharacteristics of proposed speech act and implementation patterns of the novel.“The speech act of suggestions” refers to that the speaker guides the words and deeds of thelistener correctly and sincerely hope that the listener can do certain things or not. In recent years,scholars’ study of the speech act of suggestions mainly focuses on English, there is almost nostudy based on Chinese. This thesis try to make Chinese as the study object and specificallyanalyses the implementation patterns and language strategy of Chinese speech act.The second, the third, the fourth and the fifth part is the key parts of this thesis.The second part defines the recommended speech act. This part is on the basis of speech acttheory and studies of scholars. On that basis, it suggests the conversation analysis of the speechact of suggestions, as well as the relationship between the recommendation theory and thepoliteness theory.The third part and the fourth part start from a large number of corpus analysis to researchthe main realization pattern of the speech act of suggestions in Chinese, which is divided intosimple suggestion and complex suggestion on the basis of whether the proposed language has theauxiliary part.The fifth part is also on the basis of corpus and specifically analyses the language strategyand social factors of the speech act of suggestions in Chinese.The thesis has a systematic study on the speech act of suggestions in Chinese. It combinesthe corpus classification and theoretical study. It mainly adopts the methods of statistics, analysis,and summary to try to make the corpus analysis data accurate and detailed. Because there is noinvestigative thesis and works of recommended language abou《tMoment in Peking》by academiccircles, so this thesis is from the new perspective, which is pioneering, but there are stilldeficiencies in this thesis. This thesis just trys to use the little to get the big.
