This reserach has made a comprehensive and thorough study of Su Shi’s calligraphy art aboutcreation during his Huangzhou Period, which takes a new perspective on both cultual backgroundand creation techniques. By studying and observing his calligraphy works, analyzing and concludinghistorical documents, this reserch parses the specific opinion "Huangzhou period is the peak time ofSu Shi’s calligraphy creation", and the idea "Su Shi’s core calligraphy creation concept ’Uninten-tional is good’ was mainly formed during this Huangzhou period" is first proposed in this paper,besides it reveals inherent rules and unique aesthetic value in Su Shi’s calligraphy art.Meanwhile, this paper attempts to research in-depth the characteristics and causes of Su Shi’scalligraphy art during his Huangzhou period with reference to ancient historical and literary theories,as well as combined with results of the latest achievements of current academic research about SuShi, thereby presents a more comprehensive and objective understanding of distinct personalitiesand charms in Su Shi’s calligraphy art.
