Su Shi’s residence in Huangzhou was an important stage in his life.Although Su Shi was a "sinner" in Huangzhou,he still carried on his normal calligraphic activities and many classical calligraphic works are still in circulation. At present, the study of the calligraphic works of Su Shi Huangzhou period is not systematic and in-depth enough. In this paper,we study Su Shi’s mentality, his travels, his writing style, and his calligraphic works during his exile in Huangzhou, with a view to further exploring the value and significance of Su Shi’s calligraphic works during Huangzhou.Huangzhou,is the first place in Su Shi’s life to be relegated. The state of life and psychology of the Huangzhou period inevitably influenced Su Shi’s literary and artistic work.Su Shi,who lived in Huangzhou, went through a psychological process from the uncomfortable situation of being a perverted man,to the psychological process of living as a Huangzhou man.He wasn’t unconcerned about what was happening to him from the start, but a Rakuten Pie who was able to adjust himself to the best possible state in due course.Although Huangzhou is a small, remote city by the river, but Su Shi’s travels are not limited by geographical factors.During the Huangzhou period,Su Shi had a wide range of friendships. They exchanged letters with old friends, local officials, monks,Taoist monks, etc.,or visited each other from their travels, and during the Huang period,Mi Fu,a novice in the field of calligraphy, visited. The masterpieces and calligraphic treatises produced by these encounters are important clues to the study of the calligraphic achievements of the Su Shi Huangzhou period. In the course of the Su Shi’s social life, calligraphy has always served as a very important medium.Su Shi’s interaction with Chen and his friends left behind the classical documents such as Xin Sui Zhan Qing"and "Ren Lai De Shu",as well as exquisite calligraphic works such as "Mei Hua Shi Tie" and "Man Ting Fang Ci".The engagement with Mi Fu is of great significance in that Mi Fu’s calligraphic style was adopted from the Jin dynasty, thus giving him a new look. The encounter with Wang Wenfu,so that Su Shi in the remote place of Huangzhou can also be traced by heart since the Jin and Tang Dynasty,Yan and Yang are rare to see,and Su Shi Huangzhou period of calligraphic creation had an important influence on.The encounter with people from outside the square has led to a positive change in Su Shi’s mentality and thus influenced his calligraphy.Huangzhou is an important turning point in Su Shi’s calligraphy. It was an important period of change from the style of writing of two kings to the style of writing of Shang Yi.At the same time, this article argues that Su Shi’s calligraphic achievements reached their peak in Huangzhou. But this does not negate Su Shi’s calligraphic achievements during the Yuan You period and later during the Huizhou and Danzhou periods. There are two reasons for this irreplaceable period in the history of calligraphy. The first is the influence of Su Shi’s concept of calligraphy, which was developed in Huangzhou, and Su Shi’s appreciation of the complexity of human nature through thethe Wu-Tai poetry case. The second is the change in the method of Su Shi,from the early years of the Jin Dynasty people who love the style of the book Yan Zhenqing Yang Ningshi style of the extreme reverence. The change in style brought about the change in calligraphic shape and style, forming the unique calligraphic appearance of Su Shi "Qingxiong".In this paper,we analyze the calligraphic works of Su Shi Huangzhou period. The author notes that Su Shi presents a different form of his work when he is doing calligraphic compositions and when he is writing in the form of a ruler. This paper therefore divides the exploration of the work into two parts. The first is the analysis of some of the masterpieces of calligraphic creation, with the representative work of cursive script "Mei Hua Shi Tie",the classical Dongpo’s Lanting "Chi Bi Fu" in regular script, the third line of the world "Huangzhou Han Shi Shi Tie" for in-depth analysis.Second,we analyzed the calligraphy of the Huangzhou period, and found that the calligraphy of Su Shi had the style of Lanting in the early years, but the characteristics of "flat and fat" and "majestic" had jumped out on the paper. These characteristics are the main manifestations of Su Shi’s style of writing in Huangzhou and after Huangzhou. To sum up,Huangzhou was an important period for the establishment of Su Shi’s calligraphic style and the best period and peak of Su Shi’s calligraphic creation.Even though there was a later sublimation that produced better calligraphic works, its influence in the history of calligraphy is far from comparable to that of the Hwangju period.
