A Report On The Translation Of Basic Concepts And Models For Interpreter And Translator Training

With the development of translation, the world is becoming integrated than ever. Translation plays an indispensable role in communication and exchange. While translation is serving itself at different stages, it is evolving itself as well. Human beings have known translation more and more, as before, translation was viewed as a foreign language, however, it is now seen as a major, profession and it has its rules.Section1-7of the first chapter of Basic Concepts and Models for Interpreter and Translator Training were chosen as translation material, these parts analyze the definition of translation and interpretation, competence of translation and other theories.The whole translation process includes three sections, the first one is the preparation for translation, such as material analysis, the translation strategies and the unification of terminologies; the second one is an analysis of difficulties, which is essential in this thesis; the last section is summary, which sums up the whole translation process and points out the anticipations.The translation of the first chapter is like an introduction to Chinese readers, which can lead them to familiarize the unique theory and translation teaching experience in this book. Meanwhile this report makes the author not only improve the translation perception but also practice translation skills.
