This is a translation report on sequential mode of translation. The original material of this translation report is taken from the 5th Chapter in Basic Concepts and Models for Interpreter and Translator Training by Professor Daniel Gile. This chapter mainly focuses on the teaching mode of translation training, particularly in written translation.Based on his own translation experiences, the author proposed one translation mode to explain the process of translation, which is Sequential Mode of Translation. The report first introduces the translation project and the source text, and then describes the translating process.Based on the Skopos Theory, the report discusses and analyses the translation difficulties on words and sentences translation using corresponding translation methods. Finally, the report summaries the experience and lesson from the translation practices. For teachers who engage in translation training, the translation project can provide them additional teaching material to learn from the author's teaching and translating experiences so as to train students more effectively. For translation student, this translation project not only works as one reference material to help them understand translation process, but also improves their translation practice.
