The C-E Consecutive Interpreter's Adaptations From The Perspective Of Eco-translatology

With the powerful momentum of the growth of China's economy as well as the frequently international exchanges,interpreting activity become more and more active.Nowadays,there springs up the trend of interdisciplinary interpretational research.Eco-translatology,which is applied to view the interpreting process holistically in three dimensions,aims to discuss how interpreter gives her subjectivity into full play and what concrete strategies interpreter uses to make the adaptive selection to achieve the optimal translation from the perspective of adaption and selection.Eco-tanslatology not only gives high priority to the interpreting process research but also focuses on the far-reaching influence of the external eco-environment to interpreters.Based on corpus of the press conference in 2016,the thesis aims to do a research on strategic adaptations interpreter used in concrete eco-environment to produce top-ranking adaptive and selective version.The extent of interpreter's linguistic adaption is best exemplified by lexical selection,rhetorical reproduction and grammatical transformation.In the light of the presentation of cultural implication and communicative intention,the thesis will discuss interpreter's specific strategic selection.The character of the interpreter in the eco-environment has great bearing on the tasks and accountability one has to fulfill.The subject and audience of the eco-environment will be mentioned to analyze how can interpreter achieve the swift information transmission and the multi-dimensional transformation simultaneously.Interpreter who shows the optimal adaptive capability has to take the receptivity and translation demands of the audience into consideration.Interpreters' adaption to the eco-environment gives expression to their professional level and determines the quality of interpretation.Through the research on interpreter's strategic adaptations,the thesis elucidates the impact of eco-environment on interpreters and proves that only those interpreters who are in an attempt to improve their occupational expertise,accumulate abundant background knowledge,exert subjectivity in a more proactive way can they complete the most effective communication by passing on the accurate information promptly to the audience of the eco-environment.Through the case study of the press conference,the thesis aims to discuss the directive significance of eco-translatology to interpreting practice.The practitioners can gain much aspiration and enlightenment from absorbing the concrete strategic adaptations interpreter adopted.Interpreter should spare no effort to strengthen the adaptive awareness to the eco-environment and improve their resilience to adapt to the kaleidoscopic condition,only in this way can interpreters achieve the selection and adaption in the eco-environment by using the optimized strategic adaptations.
