Pronoun is one of the basic words that people used frequently. Though Chinese and Thai belong to the Sino-Tibetan language family, but among different language, there are different forms and usages of pronoun. The grammatical structures of the modern Chinese and Thai pronouns are roughly the same, but the usages are different. This article attempts to compare Chinese and Thai pronouns, we have studied the structure and basis usage of Chinese and Thai pronouns, and also the similarities and differences in the use of pronouns in order to provide relevant reference to Thai-Chinese education.The first chapter of this article is about to introduce the pronouns and analyze the missing details.Chapter2is about Chinese and Thai pronouns have something in common and something different. The common thing is that Chinese and Thai pronouns have the same grammar function in that they can be subject, modifier and object. The different thing is that1) there are the personal pronouns for royal family and monk in modern Thai, but not in modern Chinese.2) Personal pronouns in Modern Thai have yin and yang, but personal pronouns in modern Chinese don’t have this kind of distinction.(There are many styles to write the third party pronouns in modern Chinese, but it is just the difference in characters.)3) The demonstrative pronouns in modern Thai when used alone do not require adding the quantifier, but in modern Chinese, the quantifier can either be added or not be added.4) The type of interrogative pronouns in modern Thai and modern Chinese are different. In modern Chinese, non-interrogative pronouns are regarded as interrogative pronouns, but in modern Thai, it is regarded to be indefinite pronouns.Chapter3is about practicability and validity of pronouns teaching strategy of teacher who teach Chinese to Thai student.Chapter4is the conclusion of the main content of this article.Chinese-speaking people and Thai-speaking people are different in the way of thinking. Therefore, cultural tradition of each nationality could influence when people use the pronoun.
