| China and Japan are both in the Chinese character cultural circle and both useChinese characters and Chinese vocabulary. Among the Chinese vocabulary they use, there are numerous words belong to the category of homographs. Based on thesimilarity of semanteme, homographs can be divided into isomorphic synonyms, homonyms and isomorphic homoionyms. Homographs in Chinese and Japanese bringJapanese students’Chinese learning a lot of convenience. But in the meanwhile, theexistence of homographs is easy to make Japanese students take the Chinese wordstoo literally, and make them copy the meaning and usage of their first languagewithout deep thinking. For this reason, comparative analysis of the similarities anddifferences in the Chinese and Japanese homographs’ meaning and usage andanalyzing errors are of great value for Chinese vocabulary teaching to Japanese.Based on the definition and its inadequacies of Chinese and Japanesehomographs in predecessors’ research, whether the Japanese hybrid words whichword formation is Chinese character+hiragana suffix and the Chinese inversemorphemes words belong to Chinese and Japanese homographs is going to bediscussed at the beginning of this thesis. Next, the two syllable Chinese and Japanesehomographs of hsk level3vocabulary will be taken as study object, we will compareand contrast its similarities and differences in semanteme, speech, syntactic function, collocation and pragmatics. Combining with the the comparative analysis, we willanalyze the type and reason of error corpora chosen from HSK dynamic compositioncorpus and Jinan University foreign students written Chinese Corpus.
