Yuan Hongdao’s Leisure Poems

As a famous scholar in late Ming Dynasty, Yuan Hongdao has an undisciplined characterand wants to have a quiet and leisure life.Compared with the essay, he creates more poems,and theleisure poems are the main theme throughout the whole literary creation, which show all aspectsof daily life, reflects Yuan Hongdao’s unique personality charm and life aesthetic ability.This paper is divided into four chapters.The introduction explains some related researchresults,which can be concluded that Yuan Hongdao’s leisure poems have not received sufficientattention and need further research,the first chapter mainly analyzes the origin of Yuan Hongdao’sleisure thought from the subjective and objective aspect,subject factors such as his naturalpersonality.The formation of this personality is closely linked with Buddhism thought,Taoismthought and ancient scholars influence.The objective aspects include social customs of late MingDynasty that have a great influence on Yuan Hongdao’s leisure poems creation.The second chapterfocuses on the analysis of Yuan Hongdao’s leisure poetry content.It can be summed up as feast, gosightseeing,attic garden and domestic life,which can reflect various life pleasures of late MingLiterati.The third chapter analyzes the artistic features of Yuan Hongdao’s leisure poems.Hisleisure poems can be seen as the product of his theory of XingLing, diversified poetry genre,popular language style, fresh and lively artistic conception,a strong sense of personality,showdifferences from the former.The last chapter mainly discusses its influence in China and someforeign countries,include some famous scholars such as TaoWangling,LeiSipei,Yuan Mei,ZhangDai and Japanese monk Yuan Zheng,this chapter is divided into personality temperament, creativestyle and life attitude to elaborate.The conclusion provide a brief explanation of Yuan Hongdao’sleisure poetry significance,such as the ecological consciousness,leisure thought have the certaininspiration significance to the people nowadays.In a word,his leisure poems show us a freedom-loving, indifferent to fame and wealth YuanHongdao and is full of vitality,human caring,which reflect a kind of non utilitarian beauty.
