The Interpretation Practice Report On13^th Chongli International Skiing Festival

In resent10years, skiing has made a booming development in China, since ithas completed the transition from a professional sport to a public workout activity.On November11th, Zhang Jiakou and Beijing officially applied to the ChineseOlympic Committee for hosting the24thWinter Olympic game in2022. If it issuccessful, Chongli, a county of Zhangjiakou, will host all snow sport events. I waslucky to serve as an intern for Genting Secret Garden Resort, one of the biggest skiresorts in Chongli, from September,2013. I accumulated a lot of valuable experiencefrom it. This article is a practice report of a liaison interpreting task in the sports field.In this article, interpreting strategies, difficulties and solutions of a interpreting taskare analyzed and summarized on the base of my practice. I sincerely hope it can behelpful to others’ research in this field.This article is divided into five parts. The first part is a brief introduction of thecompany; the second part is the project schedule, and in this part the basicrequirements of the interpreting task, the choices of interpreting strategies,early-stage preparations, and the process of interpretation are briefly introduced; thethird part, the main content of this article, introduces problems occurred ininterpreting process and corresponding solutions. In this part, I focus on thefollowing three aspects: misinterpretation, redundancy, and stop. In the final part, Imake a summary for this interpreting task.
